Roots N Blues festival back this weekend in Columbia

With more than two dozen performances across two stages and 50-plus food and retail vendors, the Roots N Blues Festival is back in full swing this weekend at Stephens Lake Park in Columbia.

The three-day music festival canceled last year due to the pandemic, but with headlining acts including Sheryl Crow, Brandi Carlile and Mavis Staples, it's expected to draw a crowd this year.

General admission to entire Friday through Sunday festival is $177; single-day general admission tickets range from $62-$102. The festival is cashless so the price of admission comes with an RFID wristband for food and vendor purchases. VIP tickets go for $479 and includes admission; VIP priority entry; private access to lounges, bars and meals; and up-front viewing. Tickets can be purchased through rootsnbluesfestival.com.

In an effort to mitigate the spread of COVID-19, festival organizers are asking all attendees be fully vaccinated against the virus or show proof of a negative COVID-19 test within 72 hours of arriving at the festival.
