Capital Arts Chalk Art Fair will be bringing some chalk artistry to the whole family.

Capital Arts will be hosting the event from 11 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturday at Memorial Park, 111 Memorial Park Drive. Participants who registered by Wednesday will compete to win monetary prizes for their creation.

Chalk art will be organized into several categories: professional; amateur; group; high school, middle school and elementary school; and popular vote. Participants are encouraged to sign their work.

Along with artists creating their masterpieces, viewers can visit art and maker booths around the park or sit and listen to live entertainment in Memorial Park Pavilion. Food trucks will also be in attendance.

In case of a rain delay, the cancellation and alternate date will be announced. For more information on the Capital Chalk Art Fair, call Lori Jobe at 573-635-8355 or email [email protected]
