Southside Market is back Saturday for the first time this year with a host of more than a dozen vendors and a spotlight on the smallest and kindest of our plant friends - succulents.
The market, held on the fourth Saturday of each month through September, will run 9 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday in the 100 block of Dunklin Street within the historic Old Munichburg area.
Spotlight vendor Little Leaf Essentials will have more than 200 succulents, all-natural sprays and soil for sale, with other vendors including, but not limited to, J Street Vintage and MJ's Custom Creations bringing in an assortment of home goods and decor. Jerk Hut, which typically serves a variety of Jamaican foods at its restaurant and food truck, will have a special menu for the event, and RJ's Real Italian Ice will be serving fresh, cold treats (both dairy and gluten free).
The event is free and open to the public. Temperatures expect to be in the mid-60s with a chance of light rain for the morning and partly cloudy skies.
