The 13th annual Jefferson City Open Disc Golf Tournament will take place this weekend.
The tournament features several divisions, including pro, advanced, intermediate, recreational and juniors, and registration will close at 8 p.m. Friday. Due to public health concerns, the divisions will be split into two pools that will be kept separate and will not congregate for an awards ceremony, according to the event's Facebook page. Registration cost varies depending on the division, from $20-$70.
The tournament officially begins Saturday morning (though there is a flex doubles tournament from noon-5 p.m. Friday), with check-in opening at 8 p.m. and the first round tee off at 10 a.m. The round two tee off will begin around 2:30 p.m., with the third round tee off starting at 10 a.m. Sunday.
The tournament will be played on three courses, starting at Joseph C. Miller Disc Golf Course at Binder Lake Park. The other two courses will be the Greenway Park in Holts Summit and the Dam Disc Golf Course also at Binder Lake Park.
