Grab your bicycle for one last community ride before the weather turns even colder.

The final ride of the 2020 season is set for 9 a.m. Saturday, with the ride starting from and ending at the parking lot of the North Jefferson City multipurpose building (Cedar City Room). The ride will be led by certified instructors David Bange and Jim Coleman.

Everyone is welcome at the free community event, which is hosted by the Jefferson City Parks, Recreation and Forestry Department. The ride is for non-competitive and newer cyclists, and the route planned for Saturday is mostly flat.

Participants are asked to only ride next to family members and to social distance from other riders by staying at least 6 feet apart. New helmets also will be given away on a first come, first serve basis.

For more information or to view a map of the route, visit the Facebook event page or contact Alexis Kerman at [email protected].
