Break out the green and start looking for shamrocks - St. Patrick's Day is right around the corner.

While concerns over the continued spread of coronavirus or COVID-19 have caused Ireland and some U.S. cities, including New York City, Boston and Chicago, to cancel planned St. Patrick's Day festivities, Mid-Missouri is moving forward with several opportunities to show your Irish side. (It's worth noting all of the U.S. cities that have announced cancellations have reported confirmed cases of COVID-19 in their communities. There has yet to be a confirmed case in Mid-Missouri as of Wednesday afternoon.)

Check out some of the St. Patrick's Day events planned in Mid-Missouri. (And please note this is not a comprehensive list of all St. Patrick's Day events. Feel free to add yours to our community calendar at newstribune.com/go.)
