Lake area Mardi Gras Pub Crawl set for Saturday

The 19th annual Lake of the Ozarks Mardi Gras Pub Crawl is set for Saturday, featuring 16 locations around the lake.

Set for 4 p.m.-1:30 a.m. Saturday, the event, billed as the "world's largest pub crawl," is put together by the Lake Area Chamber of Commerce and features more than 20 buses and VIP shuttle service for attendees to travel to all 16 participating locations. Those looking to attend are required to purchase a $10 wristband that will allow entry at all locations without paying a cover charge.

Participating locations include Mexicali Blues Cantina & Restaurant, Fat Polly's Pub, Lake of the Ozarks Brewing Company, Lucky's Bar & Grill, Arris' Pizza, Inn at Grand Glaize and JJ Twig's Pizza & BBQ. Each location will feature either live music or a DJ. Some of the bands expected to play during the crawl include South 5 Band, 100 Proof, Disengaged and Austin Grega.

Wristbands can be purchased the night of the event or before at any of the participating locations and hotel sponsors, including Days Inn & Suites, Lake House Hotel and The Lodge at Port Arrowhead.

To enjoy the pub crawl, event organizers ask all participants to abide by the following rules: no alcohol can enter or leave any event location; buses will make scheduled stops only; attendees must be 21 or older, have a valid ID and a wristband to ride the buses; and drink responsibly as service will be denied to intoxicated people.
