Job center hosting Walk-In Wednesday

The Capital City Job Center in Jefferson City is hosting its monthly Walk-In Wednesdays this Wednesday, offering employers and job seekers the opportunity to connect.

The event is scheduled for 11 a.m.-2 p.m. Employers at the event will include Central Bank, City of Jefferson, Cole County Residential Services, Fulton State Hospital, Home Helpers, Michael W. Prenger Center and Modern Litho, according to a news release.

Walk-In Wednesdays offers free space to connect employers and job seekers. Employers are provided with a table, computers for applicants to apply online and private office space for one-on-one interviews. The Capital City Job Center recommends job seekers bring resumes to the event, but they are not required.

“As many employers are having difficulties finding employees to fill their vacancies, we want to provide as much assistance as we can,” Patricia Barnes, supervisor of Capital City Job Center, said in the news release. “We want to help employers in Jefferson City and surrounding areas in their hiring process, while also helping the job seeker find meaningful and sustainable employment.”

Employers can register for the event by calling Barnes at 573-526-8115. To learn more, visit cwdregion.com/wiw.
