BizBeat: New bistro opens in Capitol

With the new legislative session came new dining options at the Missouri state Capitol as 1905 Bistro opened its doors last week.

The bistro took over the spot once occupied by Chez Monet in the west basement of the Capitol, under the House of Representatives chamber and near the House hearing rooms. Chez Monet moved out with plans to move into the Governor Office Building at 200 Madison St., though those plans were delayed when the building closed to the public due to the pandemic. The building reopened last month.

1905 Bistro specializes in healthy brunch food and breakfast catering. After opening Monday, the bistro began offering delivery inside the Capitol building, and the order site notes they are working on establishing delivery outside of the Capitol.

1905 Bistro is open 7 a.m.-2 p.m. Monday through Friday.
