July 2019 real estate statistics

The Jefferson City real estate market saw a small increase in new listings in July 2019 compared to July 2018, but fewer units sold.

July 2018 residential statistics from the Jefferson City Area Board of Realtors are as follows:

Number of active listings: 403, compared to 380 in July 2018.

Number of new listings: 198, compared to 188 in July 2018.

Number of units sold: 168, compared to 181 in July 2018.

Average sales price: $180,919, compared to $175,695 in July 2018.

Cumulative days on market: 43, compared to 45 in July 2018.

Total units sold year-to-date: 945, compared to 920 in July 2018.

Missouri’s real estate market also saw an increased number of listings in July compared to previous months. In July, there were 19,099 listings — an increase from the 15,824 listings in June. However, the number of homes sold has dropped since last July.

Statewide residential sales statistics from July 2019 compared to July 2018 are as follows:

Number of homes sold: 8,211, compared to 10,480 in July 2018.

Number of days on market: 47, compared to 44 in July 2018.

Average selling price: $213,686, compared to $202,788 in July 2018.

Median selling price: $178,500, compared to $186,000 in July 2018.

Total units sold year-to-date: 46,133, a decrease of 21.8 percent compared to 58,958 in July 2018.
