Simmons began his state tournament with a win by fall in 1:50 against Normandy Collaborative’s Demetrius Crawford in the first round.

Mundy (33-8) resumes his state tournament today against St. Joseph Lafayette’s Elias Chapin (43-12), needing a win in the bubble round to earn a medal in his state debut.

Eldon senior Jonathon Etzel went 0-2 at 165 and Southern Boone sophomore Blaine Bergthold finished 0-2 at 126 to end their seasons at state. Southern Boone sophomore Grant Leininger medical forfeited his two matches at 144.
