Girls Wrestling: School of the Osage ends season at districts

NEVADA -- The School of the Osage Lady Indians ended their season in the Class 1 District 3 Tournament held Friday and Saturday at Nevada High School.

Teighan Carson, a state qualifier last season for the Lady Indians, posted a 1-2 record at 145 pounds in districts. She won a 5-3 decision in her first match before losing twice by fall, including a pin in :55 by Haylee Esparza of El Dorado Springs to lose in the bubble round.

Caitlyn Sullivan also ended her season with a loss in the consolation semifinals, finishing with a 3-2 record at 135. Sullivan won all three matches by fall before losing by fall in 3:38 to Pleasant Hill’s Skylar Cyr-Coe.

Osage took 26th place in the district team standings with 18 points.
