A "show within a show" is taking center stage at The Little Theatre's next production, "Noises Off."
The comedy follows a crew of actors who are rehearsing to put on a show in England, but things don't always go according to plan. The cast has trouble remembering lines or blocking and experiences other theater mixups.
Maria Bish is directing the cast of nine actors. That groups including Rebecca Seabaugh as Dotty Otley and Mrs. Clacket; Della DeGroff as Brooke Ashton and Vicki; Carrie Peter as Belinda Blair and Flavia Brent; Kristen Cooper as Poppy Norton-Taylor; John Wells as Lloyd Dallas; Jonah Beard as Garry Lejeune and Roger Tramplemain; Brian K. Harper as Freddie Fellowes, Philip Brent and Sheikh; Barry Beach as Selsdon Mowbray and the burglar; and James Wakefield as Tim Allgood.
"I don't think people realize how much is put into putting on a show, the involvement of all the crew and the work that goes in behind the scenes to get the productions on stage," Bish said.
"There's so many people involved to get it to that point and I appreciate that and want to recognize those people, too," Bish added.
"Noises Off" opens Feb. 15 and also runs Feb. 16 and 17 at the Miller Performing Arts Center, 501 Madison Street. The show starts at 7:30 p.m.
Tickets are $15 for adults and $10 for children 12 and under. Tickets can be purchased on their website, tltjc.org.
