A New Bloomfield man has been charged in connection with a 2021 burglary.

Joshua Redmon was charged in Cole County with stealing $750 or more and second-degree accessory to a burglary.

A Jefferson City Police Department probable cause statement filed Friday stated Redmon and Parker Deppe, who has been sentenced to probation in this case, stole more than $5,000 in power tools and commercial copper from the JCMG Surgery Center construction site Dec. 27, 2021.

Police found Redmon scrapped commercial-grade copper the following day in Jefferson City, and recovered copper from the site allegedly had handwriting on it that matched the handwriting of the construction team. Deppe was discovered scrapping copper as well, the statement said.

Deppe was arrested the following February for other construction site burglaries and implicated Redmon in the JCMG theft, but the statement said efforts to locate Redmon have been unsuccessful so far.
