JAMESTOWN — The St. Elizabeth Hornets improved to 2-0 in the fall season Thursday with a 14-3 victory against the Jamestown Eagles.
Noah Chipman got the win on the mound for St. Elizabeth after allowing three runs on four hits and two walks with six strikeouts in four innings. Carter Reinkemeyer pitched the final two innings scoreless, allowing two hits, one walk and a hit batter while striking out two.
Eli Kemna led the way at the plate by going 3-for-5 with two doubles and a two-run home run. Brady Kemna added two hits and an RBI, Nick Heckemeyer went 2-for-2 with three RBI and Carter Otto added two hits, including a triple.
The Hornets will be back in action at 5 p.m. Tuesday at Belle.
Jamestown (0-1) will be off until Thursday’s contest at Prairie Home/Bunceton.
