Prep Cross Country: Class 3 District 3

MOKANE — The California Pintos took 14th as a team in the Class 3 District 3 meet with 392 points.

Damien Pace (59th in 19:37.07) led the Pintos, while Andrew Reed (66th in 19:48.35), Connor Farmer (83rd in 20:23.09), Caleb Howard (90th in 20:42.11) and Jackson Barnard (104th in 21:43.45) rounded out the California counting scores.

Eusebio Lopez (128th in 23:56.75) and Francisco Martinez (134th in 27:25.94) also ran for the Pintos.

The Lady Pintos took 10th with 262 points.

Kenzleigh Goans advanced to state as an individual for California after taking fifth in 20:23.69.

Allie Heather (54th in 23:39.03), Hillary Roney (72nd in 24:35.42), Abbigail Stuedle (88th in 25:50.12) and Emma Farmer (95th in 26:37.98) ran the Lady Pintos’ other counting times.

Evelyn Ponce (98th in 27:01.92) and Ava Bryant (108th in 29:23.04) also ran for California.

The Southern Boone Eagles took eighth as a team with 169 points.

Two Eagles will go to the state meet as individuals as Brian Burns took third in 16:59.18 and Brian Kitch finished 23rd in 18:06.90.

Aidan Reading (34th in 18:34.82), Jackson Vampbell (53rd in 19:19.49) and George Cabrera (56th in 19:28.97) rounded out the Eagles’ counting times.

Aiden Taylor (58th in 19:32.85) and Landon Rehg (106th in 21:59.18) also ran for Southern Boone.

The Lady Eagles placed sixth as a team with 166 points.

Two Lady Eagles are headed to the state meet as individuals after Alex Volkart took gold with a time of 19:18.77 in the Class 3 District 3 meet at South Callaway High School and Kaylin Patton finished 28th in 21:32.28.

Julia Volkart (43rd in 22:56.55), Zoe Rice (65th in 24:10.46) and Jaymie Collins (67th in 24:15.20) were the other Southern Boone counting times.

Vivian Bryant (93rd in 26:26.51) and Katie Bach (94th in 26:26.56) also ran for Southern Boone.
