Missourians can give friends and family a taste of the Show-Me State with this year's Missouri Grown Holiday Gift Box.
The boxes, limited to 500 units and selling for $50 each, contain items from members of Missouri Grown USA, a program run by the Missouri Department of Agriculture. Boxes can be shipped or picked up at the department headquarters, 1616 Missouri Blvd. in Jefferson City.
"Missouri Grown holiday boxes are an easy and fun way to share your Missouri pride with those you love most," Director of Agriculture Chris Chinn said in a statement. "We're proud to feature nine special products that showcase the diversity of Missouri agriculture."
This year's gift box includes laser-engraved ornaments from Gateway Industries in Eldon and dry rub from Centralia's Sticky Pig BBQ Sauce.
Other items include vanilla bourbon peach jam from Hen House Cannery in Bonne Terre, simply salted caramels from The Caramel House in St. Louis, Awesome Sauce from That's Pretty Tasty in Vienna, Redhead Chipotle Sauce from Delish Nutrish in St. Louis, a lavender lotion bar from Lavender Rhapsody in Bland, elderberry green tea from All Things Elderberry in Glencoe and Original Alpaca Snack Sticks from Spittin' Good Alpaca Meats in Paris.
This is the fourth year the boxes have been offered, according to a news release.
