Business owner fined for unlicensed liquor sales

A Jefferson City business owner has been fined for allowing alcohol to be consumed on the premises without a license.

Arianna Woods, 22, pleaded guilty to two counts of liquor sales without a license at her business, Cajun Catfish House. She was ordered to pay a $250 fine for each count.

A Missouri Department of Public Safety Division of Alcohol and Tobacco Control probable cause statement states an agent allegedly successfully purchased an alcoholic beverage at Cajun Catfish House on Eastland Drive last May.

The owner, Woods, allegedly advised authorities she, "knowingly and purposefully sells (and allows to be sold) alcohol on behalf of the establishment."

Authorities said Woods did this knowing she was doing so without a valid liquor license.
