On May 30, 98 veterans will be flown to Washington, D.C., to tour the World War II, Korean War, Vietnam and Battle of Iwo Jima memorials, as well as the Arlington National Cemetery.

The 94 Vietnam veterans, three Korean War veterans and one veteran of the Korean and Vietnam wars will fly out for free thanks to Central Missouri Honor Flight (CMHF).

The trip marks the first flight of the organization's 2023 season.

CMHF announced the flight in a Wednesday news release. The veterans will fly out at 1:45 a.m. Tuesday and return the same evening, the release said.
