Campbell staffed one of 36 vendor booths offered during the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services Senior Resource Fair Wednesday afternoon, May 24, 2023.

Area seniors on Wednesday used space at Capital Mall for more than shopping or walking.

They took advantage of the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services' annual Senior Resource Fair.

Wendy Bruemmer, outreach director for the Division of Senior and Disability Services, said DHSS puts on the fair every May in honor of Older Americans Month.

"It's to celebrate and honor older Americans. We wanted to offer this free resource fair today. We've got 36 vendors today," Bruemmer said. "We've got a wide range of resources. They are all free services they need to know about as they are navigating things when they get older."
