Jefferson City man injured in motorcycle crash


A Jefferson City man suffered serious injuries when a motorcycle he was on crashed Friday afternoon in Howard County.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol crash report, 40-year-old Carl A. Baker, at about 4:25 p.m., was an "occupant" of a westbound Harley-Davidson on Route P near Route DD, when it ran off the right side of the road and the motorcycle overturned.

Baker, who was not wearing a helmet, suffered serious injuries. An ambulance took him to University Hospital in Columbia for treatment.

Investigating officers did not have information about the driver.
