Inmate charged with violence against corrections officer

An inmate at the Jefferson City Correctional Center faces a charge after allegedly attacking a corrections officer.

Gabriel Falls, 31, was charged with violence to an employee of the Missouri Department of Corrections. He was already in prison for a 2020 weapons conviction.

A probable cause statement says Falls struck an officer twice in the waist and upper leg area in October and later admitted to the attack.

Falls has other pending charges for attempted assault and sexual misconduct while in prison.
