Prep Track and Field: California Open

CALIFORNIA -- Ayden Bryant was a winner in three events and Hailey Rademan was a double-winner Thursday to lead the California Pintos and Lady Pintos in the California Quad.

Other schools participating were Tipton, Boonville, Sedalia Sacred Heart, Northwest: Hughesville, Knob Noster and Odessa. Team scores were not recorded.

Bryant won the boys 100-meter dash with a time of 12.09 seconds and also won the long jump with a leap of 18 feet, 6 inches. Bryant, Tyler Oden, Tristan Balsley and Jackson Hensley won the 4x100-meter relay for the Pintos in a time of 48.04 seconds.

Rademan won the girls 200-meter dash in 29.08 seconds and added a first-place time of 1:06.40 in the 400-meter dash to lead the Lady Pintos.

The California girls won a total of six events. Kenzleigh Goans took first place in the 1,600-meter run (5:57.96), Alayna Butts won the pole vault (6-6), Abby Brady placed first in the discus (86-2¾) and Emma Brady came in first place in the javelin (190-0¼).

For the California boys, Walker Friedmeyer finished first in the triple jump with a distance of 37-8¾.

The Tipton Cardinals and Lady Cardinals had three individual winners in Thursday’s meet.

For the girls, Clara Williams won the long jump with a leap of 15-9 and Lily Burns placed first in the shot put with a throw of 34-4¼.

Riley Walters won the 400 for the Tipton boys with a time of 54.73 seconds.
