The Heartland Port Authority of Central Missouri Commission meeting scheduled for Thursday was canceled.
Chairman Harry Otto said the focus of the meeting was supposed to be on a hydrology study commissioned by the board. However, he said, the study wasn't ready yet, so the board opted not to meet.
Since the Heartland Port Authority only meets bi-monthly, on the third Thursday of the month, Otto said tentatively the next meeting wouldn't be until May.
If the study is finished before that, Otto said, the board may choose to hold a meeting early to discuss the study's findings.
Heartland Port Authority meetings are typically held 11 a.m. in the Grimshaw Board Room of the Jefferson City Area Chamber of Commerce at 213 Adams St.
If the study is delayed and an earlier meeting isn't called, the next meeting will be on May 18.
