Boys Tennis: Helias 9, Sedalia Smith-Cotton 0

The Helias Crusaders dropped a total of 11 games Friday, opening their season with a 9-0 dual win against the Sedalia Smith-Cotton Tigers in Central Missouri Activities Conference play.

In doubles play, Ethan Foucheaux and Andrew Dowden won 8-0, Jonah Lanigan and Caleb Porting also won 8-0 and Coen Loethen and Matthew Leibsch had an 8-1 victory.

Winning in singles for the Crusaders were Foucheaux (6-0, 6-0), Lanigan (6-2, 6-2), Dowden (6-2, 6-1), Loethen (6-1, 6-1), Porting (6-0, 6-1) and Liebsch (6-0, 6-0).

Helias (1-0, 1-0 CMAC) continues conference play with a dual Wednesday at Hickman.
