UPDATE: The News Tribune's forum for Jefferson City Board of Education candidates has been rescheduled. The forum, originally scheduled for March 15, has been rescheduled to March 22 at 6 p.m. at City Hall.

The News Tribune is holding an election forum Wednesday for Jefferson City School District Board of Education candidates on the April 4 ballot.

The forum, scheduled for 6 p.m, will be open to the public at Jefferson City Hall, 320 E. McCarty St. It will also be livestreamed at and the City of Jefferson YouTube channel.

Moderated by News Tribune Editor Gary Castor, the forums will pose questions from News Tribune staff and community members to the candidates.

Readers can submit questions via email to [email protected], and we'll ask the candidates to answer them at the forum or in a future edition of the News Tribune.

Five people are vying for three open seats on the board: incumbents Scott Hovis and Brad Bates, and newcomer candidates Mike Harvey, Suzanne Luther and Tapiwa "Felix" Madondo.
