Local artists will have the chance to paint at a number of locations from June 11-17 in Hermann and even win a prize as part of the inaugural Hermann Mo Plein Air event.
The Hermann Mo Arts Council said in a news release the event is for local and regional artists "to enhance their skills, receive recognition for their art and experience the vineyards, history and rolling hills of Hermann."
Anyone can participate in the event once they've registered and paid the $25 registration fee. Registered artists are free to paint at any of the approved locations for the duration of the event. The approved locations will be given to registered artists and more painting locations are available with permission from property owners.
The prize money for the event will be announced later. In addition to the prize, a silent art auction and reception will be held at 6 p.m. on the final day of Hermann Mo Plein Air.
