Although all area skaters are not pleased with the results of recent improvements at the skate park in Washington Park, Stephen Grohs enjoys the opportunity to improve his skateboarding skills. Grohs lives in Holts Summit and used to go to Fulton regularly to use that skate park but prefers this one. To Grohs, time at the park is freedom and he tries to visit every chance he can.
An unidentified skate park user had a request for Jefferson City's administration: "Fix me pls."
The short sentence had been scrawled in Sharpie on a broken water fountain in Washington Park.
