The Fulton Garden Club is planning for the 87th annual "Garden Party," which will be July 12 from 2:30pm to 6pm in Fulton.
Through cooperation with the Federated Garden Clubs of Missouri and fundraising, this event is held yearly.
The Garden Party is planning to be held at Callaway Electric Cooperative in Fulton.
Diana Neterer, chair of the NGC Horticultural Speciality Flower Show, said the event has a variety of goals.
"We want to educate people, stimulate interest in horticulture and provide an outlet for creative expression" Neterer said.
This event is judged and highly competitive; split into two separate divisions which are horticulture and educational.
"Everyone is encouraged to come; whether to enter to be judged, or to simply spectate" Neterer said.
The Garden Party is open and free to the public. Entries to the show are not currently open to the public, and are accepted from Fulton Garden Club and Ashland Garden Club.
"The Junior Garden Club, which is based in South Callaway, will hold an educational display, along with Wild Sage in downtown Fulton" Neterer said.
This event, along with the horticulture division, will include an educational division meant for younger students to showcase their work.
"The people who come will learn about the plants on display, what they are used for, which will give them an educational experience" said Neterer
Along with learning, you will be able to interact with others who share the same interest, along with the physical beauty of these flowers.
