Renegades split doubleheader against Des Moines Peak Prospects

DES MOINES, Iowa -- The Jefferson City Renegades split a MINK League doubleheader Monday with the Des Moines Peak Prospects.

The Renegades won the opener 1-0, scoring the game's lone run in the second inning.

Charlie Rogan hit a one-out single and advanced to second on a passed ball. One out later, Drew Wellington singled to score Rogan. Those were two of the four hits for the Renegades in the first game.

Adam Wade got the win on the mound for Jefferson City, pitching the first four innings. He allowed three hits and two walks while striking out eight. Connor Polli got the save, working the final three frames He walked two and struck out three.

The Peak Prospects won the second game 8-4. Game details were unavailable.

Jefferson City is scheduled to play today at Sedalia.
