A Mid-Missouri man died in a motorcycle crash early Saturday morning in Moniteau County.
John Lucas, 41, of California, was driving a 2021 Harley Davidson Road Glide southbound on Missouri Route 5 around 6:30 a.m. Saturday morning, according to the Missouri Highway Patrol crash report.
The motorcycle traveled off the right side of the roadway and overturned a couple hundred feet south of Richard Boulevard.
Lucas, who was not wearing a helmet, was pronounced dead by county coroner Marty Ramsdell and transported by Mid-MO EMS to Windmill Ridge Funeral Home in California.

A Chamois woman received minor injuries after a crash involving a tractor Saturday in Osage County.
Dena Mayzak, 42, was a passenger in a 2022 Chevrolet Camaro driven by Samuel Mayzak, 50, of Chamois, traveling northbound on Missouri Route 89, according to the Missouri Highway Patrol crash report.
At approximately 11:30 a.m., Mayzak attempted to pass a 1993 John Deere Tractor driven by Stephen Berhorst, 46, of Westphalia. The tractor turned left and struck the Camaro.
Dena Mayzak received minor injuries that were treated at the scene.
