Zach Davidson is going to the NCAA Regionals.

The Helias High School graduate pitches for the Indiana State Sycamores, one of the 16 host sites for the NCAA Regionals, which begin today.

Indiana State, the No. 14 overall seed of the 64 teams playing in the NCAA Regionals, begins play today against Wright State.

First pitch is at noon in Terre Haute, Ind., and the game will be broadcast on ESPN-Plus.

Davidson has also recorded two saves in his past two outings. The last time he took the mound was May 26, when he pitched 3⅔ scoreless innings with six strikeouts and no walks in Indiana State’s 10-1 win against Evansville in the MVC Tournament.

Davidson has previously pitched at Radford and Lincoln Trail College during his collegiate career.

Iowa (42-14) and North Carolina (35-22) are the other two teams in the Terre Haute Regional and will face each other in the second first-round game at 6 p.m. today.

The regional championship game is at 5 p.m. Sunday, with the “if necessary” game slated for Monday.
