A Jefferson City driver was taken into custody Wednesday evening after his car crashed into two other vehicles in the 2200 block of Missouri Boulevard.
Jefferson City police report Zachary Dominguez, 34, was driving a Mazda at high speed in the continuous center turn lane when he tried to steer right but struck the rear of a Chevrolet Traverse driven by Dennis Eichholz, 55, of Holts Summit, which was stopped in the center lane waiting to make a turn.
The Mazda then attempted to turn back into the center turn lane and hit the rear of a Ford F150 pickup truck driven by John Gorman, 62, of Belle, police said. At that point, the Mazda became disabled in the turn lane.
Police took Dominguez into custody, alleging he was visibly intoxicated, although uninjured.
Eichholz, three passengers in his car, and Gorman also reported no injuries.
