Trevor Austin has entered the college baseball transfer portal.
Austin, the starting second baseman at Missouri who also played in the outfield, started all 54 games this season for the Tigers (30-24). The Helias graduate tied for the team lead with a .311 batting average, picking up 59 hits in 190 at-bats. Austin tied for the team lead with 11 doubles, was second in stolen bases (10) and third in runs scored (45), home runs (8) and RBI (36).
In his three years at Missouri, Austin played in 117 total games (103 starts). He hit .294 with 16 home runs and 60 RBI to go along with a .490 slugging percentage.
Missouri fired baseball head coach Steve Bieser on Sunday. The Tigers were 188-155-1 in seven seasons under Bieser.
Missouri has begun its search for Bieser’s replacement.
