Following a fire at the Jefferson City Parks and Recreation pavilion in north Jefferson City, the structure was not rebuilt and the concrete slab in the foreground is in the direct path of MoDOT's chosen location for an entrance ramp from Route W onto westbound U.S. 54/63. In addition to losing the pavilion, the playground in the distance will be lost, as well as the commuter parking lot on the west side of the U.S. 54.
