YOUR OPINION: It could happen here

Daniel Kliethermes, New Bloomfield

Dear Editor,

What I am about to print is my opinion and a theory, "Invasion USA" and "Red Dawn" were two movies that depicted what I hope doesn't happen here. Both were movies about the Russians and China invading our country.

Biden has rolled out the red carpet for almost anybody to enter the U.S., not counting the got-aways. How do we know they are China sympathizers or Russians that might be in this country to establish a base to possibly learn our defense system and radar systems. They could possibly set up a base camp to possibly help their countries to overthrow our government and possibly make us vulnerable to an attack.

This seems far-fetched, but with all these illegal immigrants coming from every country in the world, not knowing that some of those got-aways are terrorist from hostile countries that hate America. There might be cartel members setting up shop and possibly eliminate drug pushers here, as you seen on TV, they don't care who they kill to advance their hold on America.

Our military is being destroyed by the left and making our military vulnerable to a possible attack, due the defense secretary forcing military personnel to get the COVID shot or be dishonorably discharged so far there have been about 18,000 military personnel that has been done this way. This yearly budget has millions to help defend borders in other countries but our own. Pelosi and Schumer gave politicians 24 hours to read the bill, which was over 4,000 pages according to Congressman Donald of Florida; there is no way that could be done. Ukraine was given around $46 billion to help to keep Russia at bay. We are funding a war that has no end in sight; it could last as long as Afghanistan, and in my opinion, that is what Zelenskyy, a dictator, wants to break America thanks to the Democrats and their reckless spending. Now we have troops stationed in Poland; the troops are at about 100,000 to protect it from being invaded by Russia which other NATO countries should protect also. And we have another 89,000 in Japan. Now getting back to a possible invasion, do we have enough military personnel to protect our borders? We can only pray that we do. Now all of this is hypothetical, but it is something to think about.
