Girls Basketball: Russellville 64, Iberia 36

RUSSELLVILLE -- The Russellville Lady Indians won their home tournament for the third time in 10 seasons Saturday, running away with a 64-36 victory against the Iberia Lady Rangers.

Russellville also finished first in the Russellville Tournament in 2018 and 2021.

The Lady Indians ended the first quarter on a 15-2 run to take the lead for good at 19-9. Camie Grayson then made a shot at the buzzer to increase the lead to 37-21 at halftime.

Jenna Schulte made one of her four 3-pointers just before the buzzer to give Russellville a 56-30 lead at the end of three quarters. The Lady Indians led by as many as 30 points in the fourth quarter.

Grayson finished with a game-high 21 points for top-seeded Russellville. Schulte chipped in 12 points.

For sixth-seeded Iberia, Acelyn Bauer and Kaye Humphrey each had a team-high nine points. Humphrey missed a double-double by a point, finishing with a game-high 12 rebounds.

After the game, Grayson was named the tournament MVP and Hallee Stewart made the all-tournament team for the Lady Indians. Alexa Rowden and Laney Halley were named to the all-tournament team for the Lady Rangers.

Russellville (11-8), which has won its last seven games, hosts Tuscumbia in a Show-Me Conference matchup Monday.

Iberia (7-11) hosts Plato in a Frisco League contest Monday.
