Fulton woman injured in collision

A Fulton woman suffered moderate injuries early Thursday afternoon when the Toyota Camry she was driving sideswiped another vehicle and forced it off the road.

Melody L. Kosmatka, 47, was eastbound about 1:21 p.m. on Route WW near Purdy Lane in Boone County, when she wandered over the center line and her car struck an International tractor driven by Roger W. Allen, 60, of Thompson, according to a Missouri State Highway Patrol crash report. The tractor then went off the road and hit a fence.

Allen, who was wearing a seat belt, was not injured.

Kosmatka, who was not wearing a seat belt, was taken by ambulance to University Hospital in Columbia for treatment.
