STURGEON -- The South Callaway Bulldogs advanced to the winner’s bracket side of the Sturgeon Tournament with a 57-36 first-round win against the Community Trojans.
South Callaway led 19-9 after one quarter, 28-15 at halftime and 48-27 through three quarters.
Tayber Gray had a team-high 22 points for the fourth-seeded Bulldogs. Adam Loucks had a double-double of 12 points and 10 rebounds.
South Callaway (10-8) plays top-seeded Westran -- ranked No. 9 in Class 2 -- at 7 p.m. Thursday in the Sturgeon High School gym.
