With constant cold temperatures, overcast skies and the holidays in the rearview mirror, it's normal to feel a little down this time of year. One Jefferson City business is hosting an event that might help with that.

Baristocats Cat Cafe, located at 702 E. McCarty St., is partnering with Limitless Yoga to host Kitten Yoga on Sunday.

Attendees are invited to bring their yoga mats or towels to the cafe where they'll be led through a gentle yoga class with the help of adoptable kittens.

The class has limited spots and is donation based. All proceeds go directly to the People Helping Paws Cat Rescue.

This is not the first community event Baristocats Cat Cafe has hosted. The cafe hosted "Meowy Christmas," "Mew Year's Eve" and just last Sunday they held a pajama party.

The cafe will also be open for normal "lounge" time and business from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturday and noon-5 p.m. Sunday.

People Helping Paws Cat Rescue has around 30 cats available for adoption and between 10 and 20 cats are generally present when the cafe is open.
