HARRISBURG -- The Blair Oaks Lady Falcons began the Harrisburg Tournament on Monday with a 43-28 first-round win against the Linn Lady Wildcats at the Harrisburg High School gym.
Blair Oaks avenged last Wednesday’s 53-48 home loss to Linn. Monday’s victory also gives the Lady Falcons back-to-back wins for the first time this season, as they defeated Boonville 55-48 last Thursday on the road.
Blair Oaks led 7-4 after one quarter, then pushed its lead to 17-10 by halftime. The Lady Falcons were ahead by double digits at 31-21 by the end of the third quarter.
Emma Wolken scored a game-high 12 points to lead the fifth-seeded Lady Falcons. Autumn Bax also reached double figures with 10 points.
Autumn Baker had a team-high 11 points for the fourth-seeded Lady Wildcats.
Blair Oaks (6-11) advances to the winner’s bracket semifinals and will play top-seeded Centralia at 6 p.m. Wednesday in the Harrisburg High School gym. Centralia defeated Fulton 58-19 on Monday.
Linn (10-7) will face eighth-seeded Fulton in the loser’s bracket semifinals at 6 p.m. Wednesday in the Harrisburg Middle School gym.
