St. Elizabeth crowns homecoming king, queen

St. Elizabeth High School celebrated homecoming last week with a game against the Dixon Bulldogs and a week of spirit days, including career day (dress as a career choice), seasons day (dress for a designated season of the year), partner day (dress in pairs or groups), theme day (dress according to class theme) and black and gold day (wear Hornet colors).

St. Elizabeth also named its homecoming court and crowned its king and queen. Candidates were nominated by the Hornet basketball teams and voted on by the student body.

Isaac Green and Ella Lucas were named king and queen. Levi Holtmeyer and Jada Dickneite were named runners-up.

Green, a junior, is the son of Chad and Kristi Green. He has participated in Future Business Leaders of America, student council, baseball and basketball. He was named second team all-state, first team all-district and all-conference honorable mention in baseball. His basketball team placed third in state during his freshman and sophomore years, and the baseball team placed second his freshman year and first his sophomore year. He enjoys hunting and fishing and is a member of the St. Lawrence Catholic Church. Green plans to attend a two- or four-year college and is interested in joining the military.

Lucas, a junior, is the daughter of Sean and Lisa Lucas. She has participated in FBLA, student council, National Honor Society, softball and basketball. She was named first team all-district during her freshman year and all-conference, all-district, first team all-district and first team all-regional as a sophomore. She earned all-conference and first team all-district for softball as a junior. She is a member of St. Lawrence Catholic Church. After graduation, Lucas plans to attend a four-year university.

Trent Anthony Bax, a junior, is the son of Derek and Heather Bax. He has participated in FBLA, baseball, basketball and AgMechanics. He enjoys hunting and fishing and is a member of St. Lawrence Catholic Church. After graduation, Bax would like to attend State Technical College of Missouri.

Brienna Raven Huber, a junior, is the daughter of Lori and John Huber. She has participated in FBLA, Students Against Destructive Decisions, Art Club, academic bowl, track and pep band. Huber enjoys reading. After graduation, she plans to attend Merrell University to study cosmetology and work at Riversong in Jefferson City.

Holtmeyer, a senior, is the son of Darren and Kristen Holtmeyer. He has participated in FBLA, student council, baseball and basketball. Holtmeyer's basketball team took third place during his freshman and junior years and was in the final four during his sophomore season. Holtmeyer's baseball team earned second place and a state championship. He is a member of St. Lawrence Catholic Church. After graduation, he plans to attend Missouri Welding Institute.

Dickneite, a senior, is the daughter of Norbert and Carol Dickneite. She has participated in SADD, FBLA, Art Club, NHS and the Student Community Outreach program. She was on the superintendent's honor roll throughout high school. She is a member of St. Lawrence Catholic Church. After graduation, Dickneite plans to attend State Tech to study drafting and design engineering technology.

Andrew Xavier Lindenbusch, a senior, is the son of Martin Lindenbusch. He has participated in FBLA, student council, Art Club and academic bowl. His team has won district championships twice and the state championship once. After graduation, he plans to attend Missouri Southern University to study computer science.

Chayla Rose Huber, a senior, is the daughter Lori and John Huber. She has participated in SADD and Art Club. She enjoys swimming, horseback riding, listening to music, reading and gaming. After graduation, Huber plans to attend State Tech for computer applications development.
