Chiefs host Jaguars to start playoffs Saturday

The Kansas City Chiefs know who they will face and when they will open the playoffs.

The NFL announced Sunday night the top-seeded Chiefs will take on the fourth-seeded Jacksonville Jaguars in the divisional round of the postseason Saturday afternoon. Game time is 3:30 p.m. at Arrowhead Stadium (KOMU-TV).

It will be the second meeting of the season between the Chiefs and Jaguars.

On Nov. 13, Kansas City defeated Jacksonville 27-17 at Arrowhead Stadium. The Chiefs led 7-0 after one quarter and 20-7 at the half before extending their advantage to 27-10 after three quarters.

Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes was 26-of-35 passing for 331 yards and four touchdowns with one interception in the game. Travis Kelce, Marquez Valdes-Scantling, Kadarius Toney and Noah Gray each had one touchdown catch.

Isiah Pacheco led the Kansas City rushing attack with 82 yards on 16 carries.

Jaguars quarterback Trevor Lawrence was 29-of-49 for 249 yards and two touchdowns, while being sacked five times. Jacksonville ran for just 75 yards in the loss.
