Dear Editor,
I take Ozempic medication for diabetes. Sometimes I have to call around to different pharmacies to find the medication or wait until it arrives.
These delays mean I have to wait and take it later than the medication was prescribed.
Two pharmacists told me that doctors are prescribing Ozempic for weight loss, which is causing a shortage across the nation. Doctors are causing this shortage and are the only ones who can stop it.
Knowing that there is a shortage, doctors should give priority to diabetics and prescribe something else for weight loss.
