A Jefferson City man is set to be arraigned on several trafficking and weapons charges next week.
Damon Davis Jr. was charged with second-degree drug trafficking, possessing a weapon and controlled substance, unlawful possession of a firearm, possession of a controlled substance and armed criminal action.
His arraignment is scheduled for Dec. 12.
A Jefferson City Police Department probable cause statement said Davis was stopped Nov. 21 by authorities in the 600 block of School Street. Authorities detained Davis and showed him a search warrant, and he informed them they would locate a firearm in the vehicle.
Police reportedly found 3 grams of ecstasy tablets, 106 counterfeit M30 pills and a handgun with an extended magazine containing 20 rounds of ammunition.
Court records show Davis has prior convictions and pending robbery charges out of Texas.
