A Westphalia woman was injured in a three-vehicle accident Thursday morning in Jefferson City.

Around 8:12 a.m., Brandi M. Basnett, 48, of Lohman, was driving west on U.S. 50/63 toward Jefferson Street and failed to stay in her lane, according to a Jefferson City Police Department crash report.

Basnett’s 2018 Hyundai Accent hit a Chevrolet Traverse driven by Barbara Herigon, 49, of Bonnots Mill. Basnett’s vehicle kept going and hit a 2001 Jeep Cherokee driven by Karen Reinkemeyer, 67, of Westphalia.

The impact of the crash flipped Basnett’s vehicle onto its top.

Basnett and Herigon were wearing seat belts and suffered no injuries. Reinkemeyer was not wearing a seat belt and suffered minor injuries. EMS treated and released her on scene.
