Woman indicted on fraud, stealing charges

A Florissant woman has been indicted by a Cole County grand jury for allegedly stealing thousands of dollars through health care fraud.

Tonisha Stallings was indicted on three counts of violations involving health care payments, two counts of stealing $750 or more and one count of stealing upwards of $25,000.

According to Tuesday's indictment, Stallings made numerous false claims for Medicaid payments for her adult daycare business between January 2022 and February 2023. The payments totaled at least $25,000, according to the indictment.
