New state law loosens restrictions on physical therapists

Missourians will no longer need a prescription or doctor's referral to visit physical therapists.

Beginning Aug. 28, physical therapists with a doctorate or five years of clinical experience can evaluate a patient and initiate treatment under a bill signed into law by Gov.
