The Missouri Conservation Federation placed these cardboard standups that represent environmentalists throughout the third floor Capitol Rotunda Wednesday so that individuals could read the attached information to find out about these figures. The MCF was one of several groups on hand Wednesday for the lobby day which was aimed at bringing attention to efforts to protect the environment.
The number of people who hunt and fish in Missouri is on a slow downward slide.
"Probably like just about every other state out there in the nation, our numbers have been declining for several years," said Eric Edwards, hunter and angler marketing specialist with Missouri Department of Conservation.
