Morel hunting advice offered

For an enthusiast, spotting a morel is as exciting as spotting a fairy. These tasty but ephemeral mushrooms sprung up in Callaway County in April 2020.


It's prime time for morel mushrooms to sprout.

And the Missouri Department of Conservation is offering some methods to the madness of hunting.

Morels can be found statewide from about late March to early May, according to MDC.
